Last?

As this last quarter passes by,  I’ve gained the knowledge and experience about the Microsoft Frontpage, network, and cables.  This includes the different parts and special functions of every tool in the MS Frontpage such as hyperlinks and themes. We’ve applied these concepts in our stations and tried to work with its unfamiliar layout.

 

Everytime I continue to work on my webpages, I’ve struggled mostly on its design as I aim to have a uniform and pleasing customized theme. Additionally, image placements were also challenging as it did not place properly.

 

I’ve addressed these challenges through asking Ma’am Charleen. She offered a great help when it comes to these technical stuff. Without her help, I would’ve not finished my output yet! In addition, I’ve explored on the Internet about image borders then applied it to my Team Profile and Media Gallery web pages upon modifying it on Code View. 

Moving on, I will continue to learn diligently. There is so much knowledge left to acquire even though this is our final quarter. Learning independently and collaboratively, it is directed to strengthening my digital path. Through MS Frontpage again, I’ll learn more of its parts as it also helps me to improve my HTML coding.

And, I’d miss this cold and warm computer laboratory room. 

Someday

At thirty-two years old, what does my future hold? This question has lingered in my mind, a profound curiosity about the person I’ll evolve into. It’s been an overwhelming thought for me since childhood, shaping me into an ambitious and determined individual. And yet, I’m still growing, still learning, still reaching for those stars.

To my future self, 15 years from now: I hope you’ve stayed true to your dreams, to complete your studies and become the first doctor in the family—a hematologist . I hope you’ve acknowledged your efforts as you’ve worked tirelessly, overcome challenges, and achieved what once seemed impossible. It’ll make sense that someday we’ll cherish it altogether despite the storms. 

I hope you have made it. This is a big dream that does not aim solely on not excelling as a hematologist  but also to live a life filled with meaningful recoveries for others  and to keep on embracing mistakes as lessons. And I hope you’ve had the chance to travel the world with family, collecting magnets and souvenirs that bring joy and memories. That would truly make me so happy.

Do you Juana be the Queencard?

 

        Why are we still living in a society that tolerates gender-based abuse and discrimination? Why are we still not learning? Why are you afraid to make a difference?

These are the questions that reflect on crumples our society. Double standards spark, norms that remain since the past, having unequal and limited opportunities, and this is the history that will be remembered.  

 

WE have the power just like a true queen for an inclusive society and oh to be in it.

 

To make a difference, awareness is truly the guiding light to change today’s struggles to great success.  And even if the truth is not that beautiful, money and fame won't prevail for such injustice. Given this infographic (below)  I made last year, it made me realize how alarming it is to see that Filipinas still experience this. To you, I’ll hope you'll see how this society has changed due to the changes we make just for ours. Some are selfish and prideful and some remain silent living still in the gloom.

 

 

            Hoping that society would just instantly improve won't cut it. Making that society would be it. Inclusivity in a diverse society similarly to a peck of cards, would you want to play with a queencard? And your heart would blazen as Juanas became unstoppable as queencards.

Intayon, Ilocos Sur!

Every year, from the last week of January to the first week of February, every Ilocanos celebrates the big event—the Kannawidan Festival. Through this festival, our province unites surely as One.

Street Dance Competition (2023)

As I pass by every booth, stalls, tarpaulins, and even giant LED screens, the sense of pride of being an Ilocano rushes in. I still vividly remember the vibrant festive spirit it brought before the pandemic. Each artisan displays their creative crafts, each chef cooks local delicacies, and each person captures colorful grand float parades and anticipates the Saniata coronation. Additionally, this festival becomes inclusive to all. Cherishing our home, this festival brought us all to connect to each other, and we preserve our great heritage and culture that we treasure. 

 

I would never skip this festival. Meyka met!

  

        As this festival takes place in one place,being there is acknowledging everything at one glance. And this celebration reflects our faith and fate to be one. Never disappointed what Kannawidan festival had brought us.

One-Two-Three, What A Time to be Free!

 

 

Rise and shine as the sun greets a magnificent Saturday for every ISNHSian. This day marks the culmination of our efforts and dedication, honed over countless days under the scorching sun. Today, we celebrate the 123rd High School Day of our beloved Ilocos Sur National High School.

 

 

            The festivities starts with a vibrant foot parade. Unlike the earlier sections that marched with energetic cheers, our footsteps resonated in unison, a march to our discipline and unity as Marconi. 

 

    After that long and exhausting parade, we’ve prepared ourselves. Comb and red lipsticks in our hand and clipped blonde bangs. Wherein every grade level (Grade 7 to Grade 11) will show their synchronized and creative performances with customized props in hand. Mesmerized by those recyclable and  customized props, their acts were a visual spectacle. Colorful props were raised  high, and the performances beautifully reflected a blend of local and global cultures.  

 

 

 

 

As we performed, I felt that thrilling rush. Let me tell you, I was having goosebumps! Everyone was happy and free to express themselves fully. In addition, I can't help but remember this meme  (referring to one of the songs we've performed). 

 

 

 

 

After that exhausting yet thrilling rush, Marconi students ate well because of our class president's treat for us! But before that, it was chaotic as we were confused by the results of grade level performances. Some jokingly say that “awan ganak manganen”, it was hilarious!

 

 

As we all ate and shared together, we shared more moments as one and only Marconi. With that, I'm grateful that I've spent this last dance and parade with them as a JHS student.
